Terms and conditions of the Extended 3-Years Warranty
Covers Dash Cam Models: DRV-A610W, DRV-A510W & DRV-A310W. Rear Cameras: KCA-R210 & KCA-R110.
1. | Important information about this extended warranty |
1.1 | The terms of this extended warranty are in addition to KENWOOD Terms and Conditions for online sales. |
1.2 | This extended warranty is only valid to purchases made on the KENWOOD Shop and delivered to the UK, where the product is retained within the UK. |
1.3 | This extended warranty is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable. |
1.4. | Proof and date of purchase will be required in order for you to rely upon this extended warranty and please therefore keep this for the duration of the extended warranty period. |
1.5 | You shall bear the cost of carriage to and from KENWOOD. |
2 | What this extended warranty covers |
2.1 | Subject always to Clause 3 and Clause 4 below, this extended warranty covers defects in workmanship or materials of its mechanical and electronic component parts (excluding SD cards and hardwire kit CA-DR1030) for a total period of 3 years from the date of purchase. No charge will be made during this period for reasonable labour or for reasonable replacement parts for the products which are covered by this extended warranty. |
2.2 | If you have also purchased a rear camera as part of your order, then this also is covered by this extended warranty. This extended warranty only covers a quantity of 1 x dash cam and 1 x rear camera. If you purchase more than 1 of each product then you need to purchase a further warranty (or warranties) in order to cover additional products. |
2.3 | Any service carried out during the extended warranty period does not provide an extension of the extended warranty period. If we are unable to repair your unit for any reason, we reserve the right to replace the unit with one of the same or similar specification – in this instance, the remainder of the extended warranty period will apply. |
3. | Exclusions to the extended warranty |
This extended warranty excludes: | |
3.1 | Any damage caused through accident, misuse, wear and tear or neglect. |
3.2 | Any damage caused by installation and/or use in a manner inconsistent with technical or safety standards or where you have removed or altered the serial number plate in any way. |
3.3 | Any damage occurring during transit to or from you. |
3.4 | Alterations, unauthorised upgrades, modifications or adjustments made to the product. |
3.5. | Any claims arising from your failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. |
3.6 | Any claims arising from your use of the equipment in a commercial environment. |
3.7 | Any claims arising from floods, lightning, storm, or other adverse weather conditions. |
3.8 | Any claims arising from any problems with your power supply. |
3.9 | Any claims arising from not being able to use equipment or from damage caused when the equipment breaks down, including any costs to remove or reinstate fitted equipment. |
3.10 | Any claims arising due to defective pixels, which are within the manufacturer’s specification. |
3.11 | The cost(s) of replacing any items or accessory that is intended to be replaced such as fuses etc. |
4 | Our responsibility for loss or damage suffered by you |
4.1 | We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen, for example, if you discussed it with us during the sales process. |
4.2 | We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors; for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. |
4.3 | We are not liable for business losses. We only supply the products for domestic and private use. If you use the products for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity. |
5. | How to Arrange a Repair |
5.1 | In the unlikely event that a fault develops with your KENWOOD product(s), please have your delivery note supplied with the product(s) and your Warranty Certificate ready and, call us on 01728 746400 to arrange a repair. . |
5.2 | Please note that this extended warranty covers defects with the product(s) only. It does not cover faults due to power connections etc. If the cause of the problem is found to be anything other than the KENWOOD unit, you will be charged for the service repair. |
