Delivery - Where do you deliver?

Please note that we can only accept orders which will be delivered within:

Delivery via DPD - More Information

DPD shipping to your door. Not going to be in? No problem. DPD will email you on the day of your delivery, allowing you to select a local shop drop-off point in your area. Or, simply download their DPD app and track your parcel and make any changes directly.

Faulty product - What to do next?

Our products come with a KENWOOD manufacturer's 1-year warranty from the date of supply for parts and labour. Unless you have purchased an extended warranty at time of purchase.

Order Confirmation - I've placed an order but not received an order confirmation email?

As soon as you have placed an order you will receive an order confirmation via the email you inputted on your order.

Payment Details - My payment details are being refused, why?

If the billing address doesn't match your bank's address on file for you, then your bank will reject your payment.

Please ensure you input the correct billing address. This address can be found on any bank statements, letters sent to you from your bank, or login to your bank and check the address you have registered with them.

If you wish to have the goods delivered to an alternative address to your billing address, please input this address in the delivery address section.

Dash Cam Questions

Battery drainage - Will the dash cam drain my battery?

No, if using the optional CA-DR1030 hardwire power kit or a dash cam bundle which includes the hardwire kit – then this will monitor the battery voltage and switch off the supply to the camera when the battery level falls below a threshold voltage.

If using the cigar lighter power cord, then these accessory power sockets are usually only live when the car is turned on; if this is not the case, then you should unplug the cigar lighter power cord when exiting the vehicle.

Cigar lighter power cord - Can I purchase a replacement?

Date & time stamp - Will this information be embedded on the video if I need to send to my insurers?

Yes, the Time & Date stamp will be turned ON by default; though this can be turned OFF within the menu system.

Micro SD-Card format - Can I retrieve my footage if I accidentally format my SD card?

No, make sure that you save any video footage on your PC/MAC before you format the SD-card.

Micro SD-Card - What is the maximum size I can use?
  • Black Edition / DRV-A601W Card spec is: 8GB – 256GB; recommended speed is: UHS speed class 3 (U3); micro-SDXC; exFAT/FAT32
  • DRV-A501W Card spec is: 8GB – 256GB; speed class = Class 10; micro-SDXC/micro-SDHC; exFAT/FAT32
  • DRV-A301W Card spec is: 8GB – 256GB; speed class = Class 10; micro-SDXC; exFAT/FAT32
  • DRV-A201 Card spec is: 8GB – 128GB; speed class = Class 10; micro-SDXC; exFAT/FAT32B

Multiple two car usage - Can I use my dash cam in a different car?

Yes, you can use the suction cup mount in one vehicle and the adhesive pad mount in the other. Then use the cigar light adapter provided as power.

Rear view window camera - What dash cams can be linked to a rear view camera?
  • Black Edition / DRV-A601W: Compatible with the KCA-R200
  • DRV-A501W / DRV-A700W: Compatible with the KCA-R100
  • DRV-A301W: Not compatible with any rear view camera
  • DRV-A201: Not compatible with any rear view camera
  • DRV-A100: Not compatible with any rear view camera
  • DRV-N520: Not compatible with any rear view camera
Rear view window camera - Can I use the front dash cam as a rear camera to record what’s behind me?

No, you need to purchase a dash cam bundle which includes the rear view camera.

If you already have a KENWOOD dash cam which is compatible with a rear view camera then you can purchase the rear view camera separately.

Rear view camera - Can this be used outside?

Unfortunately our rear view cameras can only be used inside the vehicle as they are not waterproof.

Record sound - Can the dash cam record sound on footage?

Yes, the camera does record sound as well – this function can be turned off within the menu, but the default is ON

Recording when parked - Will my dash cam continuously record when the engine is switched off?

You will need to purchase the optional extra CA-DR1030 hardwire fitting kit, or a dash cam bundle which includes the hardwire kit.

This hardwire kit will enable a permanent power supply without draining your battery and actives Smart Parking Mode.

Tinted Windscreen / Rear Screen - Will a dash cam or rear view camera still be able to record good quality footage?

Yes, a tinted windows on a vehicle will not cause a problem for the dash cam or rear view camera.
